During my Junior year; I, along with a group of my classmates, had the honor to represent the University of Northern Iowa, for the PR Council's third,"Take Flight"competition.
Presented to us as a final project for our Public Relations Campaign Methods class, we were tasked with creating a campaign for a cause that was important to us. We choose education. Collaborating with Brittany Holthaus and Kathryn Story, we exectuded a campaign proposal and video titled; "Carrying Hope: One Education At A Time".
After recieving news of being picked as national runner-up, we were given the opportunity to fly to New York for the awards. In New York, we were giving the chance to not only showcase our campaign, but to network with Public Relation practitioners and agencies in the industry! Below are some of the highlights of this accolade. Enjoy!

"Three UNI Public Relations students won a trip to New York City for creating the runner-up video in the PR Council's third “Take Flight with PR” video contest. Brittany Lynn Holthaus, Tobias Henderson, and Kathryn Storey created a short video titled: Carrying Hope. One Education at a Time. The approximately three-minute video was selected for recognition by a panel of judges from the PR industry. The students created the video through Dr. Gayle Pohl's Public Relations Campaign Methods class in Spring 2015,"
